It’s hard to believe that 3 years have passed. A LOT of ground has been covered during those three years and most of it has been documented here in words and photos. I haven’t done a great job of keeping up with my blogging these past 12 months, largely in part because I’m back in the US and back to that crazy hectic pace.
It was so easy to find the time when I had nothing but free time! Now since being back in the US I feel that I need about 10 extra hours in each day. Where does the time go? I’ll tell you where a lot of it goes…to other people! That needs to change. In this next blog year I’m going to do my best to spend more time writing this blog. I may not be the most interesting person in the world, but I’ve had some really great experiences and learned a lot about myself over these past 3 years and I still have a lot that I want to share.
I may join another blogging group, or maybe even start one of my own, who knows. Blogging is a great way to share experiences and to meet people with similar interests and experiences. I’m always amazed at the number of views this blog receives on a day to day basis. The blog continues to grow even without me putting a lot of new content up over the past year.
Here are a few interesting stats from the past year…
1. Year to date there have been over 69,236 views (184,113 views since the beginning)
2. The most popular posts this year have been Alien Invasion (29,110 views), From Here to Baku (15,260 views) and Neuschwanstein Castle (9241 views). These are also the top 3 posts since the beginning.
3. On May 16, 2009 there were 1,961 views….the busiest day ever!
4. The most popular search term – SEA MONKEYS!
I’m looking forward to another great year at Learning to Walk in Stilettos. When I moved back to the US I thought about renaming my blog, but I’ve since reconsidered. I love the name!
